Edamame are green, immature soybeans in the pod. It’s the beans inside that are important and not the pod, as the pods are covered with small hairs and are tough and fibrous in texture. Edamame beans are often used in Asian cuisine.

Delicious as a starter or side dish
Edamame beans are healthy as they’re full of iron, calcium and omega-3 fatty acids, which is why they’re popular as both a vegetable and a snack in Japan, Korea and China. They’re often served as a starter or side dish in sushi restaurants.
Our unshelled Edamame beans are frozen straight after harvesting to retain all the nutrients. Defrost and cook the Edamame beans before use, sprinkle with salt, pepper and/or other herbs and spices to taste and they’re ready to eat.
Searching for shelled Edamame beans? That’s something we understand all too well at Blue World, which is why we also offer shelled soybeans.
